But if he would've showed up to work hungover it would be the on the front page of the New York Times.

seriously...aint that the truth.

condolences to the girl he killed and her family. Hell, condolences to his two small kids he left behind. I flew with the guy once and there were red flags just from that experience. sounds like others had more.

I was just a little curious. What were the red flags you saw?

For the record, I know nothing personally of what red flags are being alluded to here. I don't know the guy. I'll just state what I have heard that could be along those lines but you all can judge for yourselves.

For one thing that has been reported is that he was a cook in the National Guard who never was deployed and never saw combat. This was confirmed my the military as reported by the media.

Several Skywest pilots including close friends of his, have come forward and have said that he had mentioned to them at various times over the years that he was a Special Ops guy who saw combat. Where he was telling people he saw combat I don't know.

Is this a red flag? Who knows since a lot of people lie about their military background, their flying careers, their medical background, including the last CEO of Yahoo who said he had a degree he didn't have. Politicians as we know are the biggest liars of all. So you probably can't call this a red flag since lying about something usually doesn't lead to killing your girl.

Poor flying skills, bad attitude, and disregard for normal procedures because they were "stupid". Treated FA's like 2nd class citizens too. Actually told the chief pilot to keep an eye on him during probation.

Didn't know he was military...

We have one of these on the ASA side. Don't even need to mention the name. If you are here, you are familiar.

Hell, we got one FA that is one sandwich shy of a picnic at ASA. Got kicked out of her crashpad after supposedly getting "stabbed" by another FA. She is 100% bonafide NUTS.

We WILL hear about her in the news someday. Mgmt wont take any action against her even though several captains refuse to fly with her.

But a pilot with 6 occurrences......now thats termination
