Is Netjets going to buy flexjet?

Heard a rumour that Netjets may be buying flexjet by the end of the year. Anyone else hear this?

i think its obvious that bombardier isnt going to sell flex....they are going to simply give it away with the mid-size order. the global order was just to make them see that NJA was serious.

That' a juicy rumor...Although I've been waiting for the a/c order rumor and the furlough rumor to happen for over a year..So I'm gonna put that rumor on the list, just not high on the list......

I heard a rumor that NetJets was being sold to XO jet. Just the airplanes though because, their pilots(nj) are d bags.

Only one company in the fractional business has a brand name. That would be netjets. Management will do what it takes to maintain the brand. Pilots will ditto that.

They have a name brand because they spent 30 mil on advertising during the superbowl a few years ago. So now every jack wagon with a 100k in the bank thinks he can charter a fractional A/C. Smart way to further push those owners to XO jet and classy avantair.

30 million huh... I suppose NJA marketing department is in direct contact with you and reveals how much they spent for a 30 sec add...

A 30 second add for this years Super Bowl cost roughly 3.5 million for halftime adds... I don't recall seeing 10+ adds for Netjets. And especially not during halftime.... Those spots are reserved for Budweiser, car companies, and porn...

NJA isn't buying anyone. I'm just happy if the ship just keeps a steady keel during the storm. Another fractional would have to kindly ask us to take their owners.

Our issues:
1. $1.3 Billion in debt.
2. $650 million law suite with IRS over "ticket tax"
3. another $350 million suite with IRS over "excise tax"
4. 50+ Globals worth over $1 billion+ coming that need to be sold
5. 50+ Phenom 300s worth hundreds of millions that need to be sold
6. 100+ planes still parked with no owners.
7. NJ China starting up
8. A slow economy giving NJ stagnant growth to negative growth.

I think we have our hands full.

Flexjet is embarking on a new ad campaign, those don't come cheap....I don't think they're planing on being adquired by anybody
