AirTran bidding to SWA

Any of you AT guys/gals know how many pilots are transitioning per month and how many per class. I saw the 24 in March but was just wondering on the rest of the year. Also, how long are the bids open for the transition. I see a bid opened on feb 10th but did not know when the results would be out.

The current transition bid is open until 2/15 and has 2 SWA 737 FO classes of 24 each. Results should also be on 2/15. They're showing that the classes will be filled from the following "origin crew classes":

APR 11 Class

10 ATL 717 CA
10 ATL 717 FO​

4 ATL 737 FO

APR 25 Class

9 ATL 717 CA
10 ATL 717 FO​

5 ATL 737 FO

That was actually the info I was looking for. Wondering how the transition on the 717 was shaking out with the move to SWA 737 FO.

I would bet that number is pretty firm. It is the 2013/2014 training numbers that could vary depending on how fast SWA can obtain international capabilities on their side of the partition.

Last available information has 5-6 B717 conversions per month beginning in Jan 2013 and finishing during Q2 2014.

What I just read:

"During the year following the SOC, we plan to bring 192 pilots through conversion training. 157 B717 pilots and 35 B737 pilots will become SWA B737 First Officers."
