Just FYI

the selling of the E190's is in order to raise capital and then lease the jets back from the buyer. They do not want to dispose of the jets.

Not what I'm hearing. JetBlue is trimming their 190s too. Not cost effective in today's fuel cost / revenue environment.

But on a lighter note... maybe fouling up BB's debt offering and making noise about striking right now wasn't the best thought out plan by the almighty 357 leadership:

Or maybe it was taking concessions in exchange for what's turning out to be the worst investment in airline history. Bedford and Co. have proven over the past three years to be the gang that can't shoot straight. Enjoy sleeping with him.

We will! Especially if it means separating from you!
For Grey Ghost, RAH outbid SWA for F9. I can assure you we did not screw that up. I watch what is going on with Airtran, and I am not feeling the LUV!

Enjoy your IMSL while you can because you will not have it for very long.

If someone does in fact buy you, just make sure not to screw up the integration for the third time!!! Just like in baseball, its 3 strikes and you're out!!! :uzi:

Um, not really. The SWA/F9 was a done deal IF the F9 pilots agreed to a staple. They didn't and RAH picked up the pieces.

Just to keep the record straight.

In the interest of straight records:

The sale of F9 was an auction, the winner of which to be determined by a bankruptcy judge, based on the cash value of any final offers (there was only one) to the unsecured creditors. SWA's "done deal" (hardly) offer was worth roughly HALF of RAHs...

Not that any of this has been beat to death 100X over or anything...
