Hello,
I heard there was a captain at SWA, one at UAL, and one at Air Tran, who play the harmonica for their passengers. I would love to talk to one or all of them. If you are one, or know one, please pm me.

Thanks.

" I would love to talk to one or all of them. "

WHY?

Do you enjoy talking to Idiots ?

I play harmonica and also guitar... as well as write, sing, and put on a pretty good show with The Meat Puppet.

However, I never felt the need ( in 12 years of the left seat ) to subject a hostage audience to any of my "talents".

Or, how about the Azzmaniholes that like to welcome "ALL ABOARD!" with their Train whistles...?

Hitler had some trains once. Guys like the above should have been on them.

( " Oooh....That wasn't right , right there Lord. Sorry about that one Lord." ... LTCG.)

hopefully you want to kick the crap out of them for the rest of us (and their annoyed pax).

I just commuted to work on a SWA flight with a harmonica playing captain. We had one at Allegiant and he was told not to play it anymore. He only knew one song, it really got old.

At SWA, we've had a couple of our guys that do it. Heard one out of MDW last year that played it prior to pushback. Not only was it a great tune...and in tune...he had some great standup comedy to go with it. It was done right, and went over great...wish I had that talent...

Yeah, it's great . . . ONCE.

How would you like to be that FO on a 4 day trip? Actually, I have been that FO, and I can tell you that by the end of the second day, you're really thinking about helping them play that harmonica from their other end.

At least you would always hear when they blasted a fart!

We have a train whistle ca in EWR on the 737. Blowin' as we leave the gate...........

So I guess playing the highland bagpipe by the door as pax get on might be a bit much? I will leave them home then.

;)

I bring my accordion and PRAY for ground delays.

I have flown with the SW MDW based guy. Plays the harp great, great comedic timing, gets the whole plane cracking up before we push.....and no, It doesn't get old.

Cheers!

I play the tuba and carry it with me wherever I go. I like to play it during the boarding process and ground delays, and of course at the bar after a long day. If I could fly with that harmonica guy, we would rock!

The Meat Puppet.

A L-o-n-g time ago there was SWA Capt who was famous industry wide among FA's for his "Meat Puppet" talents.... Too bad the ol' heart couldnt keep it up any more, no pun intended.

You just made my day. Thanks for the belly laugh!

The airtan guy with the harmonica and bad ahhnold shwatzenegah impression is a real pain to listen to. What a deutchebag.

The harmonica bit was cute for about 20 seconds, after that it was clear that he did not know when to quit.

Pax all over the cabin were looking at each other and rolling their eyes.

Here's to YOU, Mr. Harmonica airline guy - real men of genius.

I think you guys are jealous. Do you feel the same way about pilots who tell jokes or greet the passengers at the door?

Gez, you guys are a tough crowd. I do a little Elvis does rap thing for the passengers and they LOVE IT! It usually only delays the flight a few minutes and the passengers are left in awe. You should see their jaws drop in admiration ( I do it in the aisle). I've even had a few passengers get off to tell their friends about it. I have to say I'm a bit flattered that they are willing to miss their flight just to get of the airplane and call up their friends to tell them about it.
