Can't wait for Rez. and PCL128 to try and spin this...

"The Board estimates that the backpay ALPA owes the 12 Unit 1 employees who were illegally laid off currently exceeds $700,000, and Unit 1 estimates that it will cost ALPA well in excess of $2 million to rescind the unilaterally imposed terms."

Ahhh welll...what's 2 million bucks when National's got all that dues rollin' in? "Hey!...where we eatin' for lunch today boys?!"

Let's not even get into the conflict of interest of representing mainline AND regional pilots. How can ALPA do the BEST job for both???

In-House Union boys and girls...it's the only way.

The only thing Alpa needs to do is change its name and then all the previous agreements would be null and void.

There, problem solved.

as ironic as pilots voting Republican.

Perfect example going down in Wisconsin right now........

Its about what the tax payer can pay not what the union wants !!!! they should all be fired just like Reagan did to the fools at PATCO.

The hay days of the unions running the show is over, the days of big money for no work is over.......its time for you lazy airline pilots to get back to work or get out of the seat and run your yogurt shop.

"If your not a liberal at 20 you're heartless, but if you're not a conservative by 40 you're brainless."? learn it live it love it fools ........libs are killing this country ....please pack up and head on down to Cuba I hear the folks love it down there !!!

Exactly...right until they f with you pay, benefits and retirement.

What's there to spin? I've always said that I support our staff 100%.

So ALPA is acting like management? Why don't you attack ALPA like you attack management? You can't win this one...Either way, this makes ALPA look bad...

I really want to hear Rez's spin on this one...

I've never said that ALPA looks good on this one. I don't think either side looks good. This is something that makes all of us look bad, and I hope it gets resolved sooner rather than later. Our staff deserves it, and so do our members.

So why is ALPA acting like management? Are things not as simple as the union chest thumpers like to make them? Are costs an issue or aren't they? Why aren't you attacking ALPA like you do Air Tran management?

What do you mean by "neither side looks good"?

Joe, I think you know that I can't really get into details. Suffice it to say that I think both ALPA and Unit 1 have made mistakes throughout this process, and I hope to see it resolved soon.

Spoken like a true ALPA EVP....You are quite the politician....

This is exactly why unions aren't supported by the majority of people....They can't even negotiate with themselves...

I do find it interesting that an ALPA EVP thinks BOTH sides have made mistakes....This is getting better by the day....

So what's the take on all of this from an EVP of the rjdc? I mean you girls were so successful in YOUR suit eh?
You know the old rjdc saying, if you can't join them, sue em!
Could you recommend Haber to them, he got so much $$ for you :crying::crying:. Just how did you spend all those millions?

You might want to worry about your own house before worrying about ours. You know, with your officers beating up each other in the office and sending each other to the hospital and all.

Maybe you could post a link for us that points out how a union other than ALPA was found guilty of violating the National Labor Relations Act.

ALPA is quickly approaching the same fate as old, stingy, self-important, corrupt dictators in the middle East.

To be clear, ALPA hasn't been found guilty. An ALJ made a recommendation on a ruling to the NLRB. The NLRB makes the decision about whether ALPA was guilty or not, and even that is appealable to the courts.

Is your officer out of the hospital yet? I would think that assault is a little more serious than a possible NLRA violation.
