When NWA said DAL colors, you looked for a DAL aircraft. You hear United Livery of colors and you look for a United aircraft. F'n stupid. Worse, what does a UAL pilot say in a UAL aircraft with CAL colors? UAL xxxx and all anyone sees is a CAL aircraft? Again, F'n stupid.

Agreed, it's F'n stupid. I wonder what moron down on Smith St. thought this up? The new scheme is Continental colors with United titles... to call it "Continental XXX in United livery/colors" is just ridiculous.

its kinda stupid when you consider places like chq, shuttle america, ASA, express jet and skywest, use the same call signs when working under different majors. The controllers seem to handle that just fine.
