Just like the SansPlane. fu(k everybody else. you need spending money.

AeroDork,

Have you always been a Communist?

If your going to preach for others to be charitable, maybe your church would be a more appropriate forum. In any case, leave Wolf alone. Let the free market place do it's thing. It's the best system there is, and it's certainly not up to you to socially engineer the pilot profession.

Who appointed you our social conscience or judge of how much compensation is enough or too much anyway? You've got some nerve... I guess we know your motto "you've got yours, so give me some". Where did you get the ridiculous sense of entitlement? Furthermore, you have no idea what he'd use the money for anyway. Maybe he wants to use the extra money to feed starving children or start a fund for out of work pilots; Maybe he doesn't. Either way, It's none of your damn business!

i was thinking of doing a little King Air driving on the side

This.

I heard the S/E go-arounds in the TBM's are a bitch. :p

I understand the ire of some who believe that those who "have made it" are "stealing food" from those who haven't. I was 'raised' to believe that with experience comes certain privileges.

Frankly, if WPP or Fido or me want to go get a part-time gig flying a KA or other smaller aircraft, we can. It's not like we're aceing someone out of a full time gig. Now, if we form a consortium to provide pilot services to an owner that puts some guy out of a full time job, well, then we'd be Netjets. :D

I'm sure there are no TBM, KA or even 421 pilots out there who are flight instructing on their days off because that would be stealing ramen noodles from some kid just getting started in the biz...

TC

You want to play little airplane pilot on your days off from your six figure gulfstream captain job. If the TBM owner wants a pilot to ride along and babysit him, he has to hire someone to do it, whether it's just for the day or full time. I'd rather see it be a qualified unemployed guy who could use the money to put food on his family's table, or a gift under the tree for junior, get the work than someone who has a good job and is just doing it for fun and a little extra spending money.

You're bitching on the other thread about how things aren't going to be the same at eja and there's going to be no helping each other out now because of the union like there was at nji before the integration. why don't you help out the guys who aren't fortunate enough to have a job and let them pick up the contract jobs on the small turboprops and go rent a 172 if you want to fly little planes?

Just like the SansPlane. fu(k everybody else. you need spending money. Especially those unfortunate enough to find themselves unemployed over the holidays. I'd love to see a 747 captain want to pick up some small gulfstream flying on his days off at your expense. I know that isn't the same as what you're trying to do, but is it so different?

Let me guess, you voted for Obama?

Maybe a polo and dockers would help you land that Gulfstream job... ;)

I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy, too but you've got to adjust for prevailing conditions, if you know what I mean.

as usual TC is right....

Tshirt and Jeans are for the Hawker people, you might have to step up the game to some khakis and casual shirts if you gonna move up in life son.

:)

Just dont go to the old crusty, no hobby outside aviation, typical d-bag corporate Grummanese pilot look.

And for gods sake - someone email Savannah (Mecca) and let them know that Smartphones are not fashion accessories.

Ok, I will take back what I typed. I was pissed at being over worked and was having a bad day. And there may have been a beverage or three prior to getting on the internet. I have respected what TC, G 200, and semperfido, have posted in the past. thank you for correcting me, because I'm not a D Bag in real life.
Cheers
