So in one week one airline. Overflew there destination by 100 miles and landed a wide body on a taxi way. I think the regulations were discussing a mentor program in which major airline pilots would mentor us idiots at the regionals.

Couldn't resist.

Note: Best excuse ever... We were in a heated discussion about company policy. I don't know which is worse... this excuse or chicken noises.

Think these guys thought they wouldn't pull the recorders? Also 150 miles sure you were, in a discussion. How will the all mighty perfect DL pilots be able to sit in the same cockpit with such a ill trained NWA group.

This is an honest-to-Allah, no-flame comment here....

I've always felt that semi-senior regional guys and domestic mainline pilots were likely better aviators than the mainline widebody guy who claims to be god. More cycles, more weather, etc. A regional pilot sees and deals with more in a day than most mainline guys see in a month. Not a slight on mainline pilots, as I understand the experience required to get a mainline job, but...experience can't always be measured in hours.

Good observation Walter!

True... And a sentiment related to me by a lot of mainline guys I know in the real world, away from FI land.

Yep-Just ask about the "L-1011 ILS" into ATL. These guys would forget to switch over to the LOC freq. out of final, and would line up with the VOR. I saw them do it about 15 times. (Curiously, I never saw any plane other than a Delta L-1011 pull that particular one.)

-Normally-not a big deal, but when the guy was supposed to be lining up for 26R......

Looks to me like you are in desperate need of a Mentor Program in English.
So in one week one airline.
So in one week one airline WHAT? Finish your sentence.

Overflew there destination by 100 miles....
Did you mean "They overflew their destination" or "They overflew the destination"? Even without the "there" error, the manner in which you constructed your sentence doesn't make sense. WHO overflew?

........us idiots at the regionals.
.
Exactly.

Couldn't resist.
Neither could I.:D
