Sources say that Pinnacle to begin ramping up pilots. 36 CRJ 900. Not sure if a 2 for 1 or 1 for 1 or something else. This is hot off the press and is still in the works. Have been told that the training departments needs to ramp up. It appears from their website they are now taking pilot resumes. Can anyone confirm if they are indeed hiring?

Where would they get them from? There is NO more room for ANY new 76 seat planes. If Pinnacle IS getting more 900's then sombody else is having them taken away.

Pinnacle is not hiring!!

The website has not been updated in some time.
Pinnacle's union just agreed, released today, to LOA 9-01, which allows for part-time pilots. Pinnacle is well overstaffed on the 900 side and the LOA is an attempt to prevent furloughs.

They do have a class going on right now, but it is a trial run for low-time pilots.

We are not overstaffed overall. Like he said maybe on the 900 side. But we are JR manning and CX flights at times due to no crews. There are still many people interested in LOA. So many that the company could not even grant all leave requests. The dual qual issue will let them use access reserves from atl to cover short falls in the other bases.

We can't take a 2 for 1 swap because we already have the minimum number of airframes in our ASA. 1 for 1 would work if scope allows.

Question, I know that 76 seat scope is maxed out, but is there not still some room for 700's? I think it is possible.

Any discussion of furloughs is absurd until they grant all leaves and still have to many.

I don't really see any specific good things coming our way. Our management is way to incompitent. But on the other hand, they do seem quite motivated to get a deal.

Who knows.

What is your source Seven?

We are extremely overstaffed on the 900 in ATL.
We are correctly staffed on the 200 in all bases.
Pinnacle is starting a 142 flight school, this may be what your friend is talking about. Where the graduates are going to go when they finish, who knows. They just started offering part-time lines today with the expectation of hour reductions starting in August.

I was also aware of the 142 school. The part-time pilots I wasn't aware of. Who knows..the 36 900's could come from another regional. My info really isn't "hard" info more of "bits" of information from the 9E training department. I was actually wondering if anyone from the pilot group has been hearing anything too.

nice rumor. maybe Seven can come up with a better one. unless this was a joke, i would say before you open your mouth, check your sources or put a disclaimer that you are guessing. Delta does have the old NWA options with Bombardier but i beleive their pilots scope is involved blocking more bigger regionals. Oh and this from a good source from a owned regional at delta- that by 2012 delta will try to get rid of 120 crj 200s. bad news for us all.

If so, they aren't flying those 900s for Delta.

The 76 seat flying is already maxed out unless DL mainline takes delivery of like 15-20 more planes.

I remember while I was there rumors like this would pop up ocassionally... 70 seaters, EMB-170s.... the person that made up the rumor and those the propogated it conveniently forgot about scope. (70 seat flying except for the 36 Avro wasn't allowed while I was there)

Research your rumors before excitedly spreading them, please.

Before you "open your mouth," maybe you should reread my original post. I wasn't claiming to know anything. It was actually phrased as a question. That's what this (?) symbol means. I am not making this up. This info was from another source. I posted it to get feedback or more information. So just for you xjhawk, I will put a disclaimer on my next post.
