SkyWest was notified on Friday that there is a change in UAL flight benefits regarding the Companion Program, Membership fees, the Enrolled Friend Program and Weblisting. SkyWest had BuddyPasses that will go extinct June 1 and the new United Companion Passes take into affect. So, I'm wondering, If you work for one of the other Express carriers, I'm curious to know when you found out that a new travel program was starting (2 weeks ago, a week ago, last Friday), what benefits you gained, what you lost and what the membership fees are going to be, boarding priorities etc. I also would like to know how your management went about informing you. SkyWest informed their employees right up against United's required transition date and stated that "had we communicated before today, the program would have looked much different." Hmmm. Some good came out of the changes, but companions flying on SkyWests own AC got more expensive, plus now an employee membership fee, which might be similiar to Delta's. SkyWest said they will pay the fee up-front and employees will have a 90 day window to payback. Many questions arising from the employee group now and its the weekend. Good timing with the Friday 5:30 memo.
Anyway, I'm curious to know what the other Express carrier's management did for their employees. What compromised agreement did they come up with for the most benefit and the least possible cost to the people.

UAL can expect to reap the rewards of gouging their partners' employees (as well as there own). I, for one, am tired of being asked to remain "professional" by those who would seek to finance their own ill-deserved bonuses at my expense. THIS FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF RIDING ON MY OWN AIRPLANE!!!!!

Hmmm, the release says FL350 but the FMS says we can save 400# of UAL's fuel by climbing to FL390. That's probably more than half that fee in JUST ONE FLIGHT!!! And, there's just a couple hundred more flights to go this year.

Our memo was dated Friday as well, but I just heard about it today and it is effective tomorrow June 1st. For us pretty much nothing improved and we can only fly for free on our own planes. Any other carrier and the "base fee" is anywhere from 10 to 50 bucks.

That will save glenn a little bit of gas right there!! I'm sure he appreciates your help.

And now all of these non-UAL dedicated employee groups are getting access to the UAL network. Not that the loads weren't high enough to begin with...

Shut up and sit down your number 20 on the stand-by list. You might get there next thursday. Have a great day!
