ATL doesn't have the deicing ramps or equipment to run the operation during a winter event. It's only 2 days a year if that.

I hope things have changed. The weekend we closed DFW I watched them (in ATL) waste upwards of 2000 gal. of type I to deice a CR2 in active freezing rain before they figured out it wouldn't work. One of the funniest hours I ever spent at ASA.
