Guys,
I would like to have your take on this matter. We currently have 8 hawkers parked in our hangar. Do you think it's important enough to have the TR pins installed while sitting in the hangar? We also have some fairly new mx guys with respect to the Hawker aircraft. Now the deal is, we need to change our policy and get approval and this will become part of our SOP so the Chief wants as much material ( documentation, safety studies etc )as he can get to substantiate the implementation of this new idea. We need to present this to the DOM. Just saying it will save lives without some terciary information and documentation won't work. Can you point me in the right direction for this background information. I have already started scouring the ASR's. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

We always put the TR pins in. Why would you not? Some airplanes have gear pins, some don't. Hawkers do - and they also have TR pins. Does it really take an act of congress to implement a safe practice where you work?

I hear ya, and an act of congress would probably be quicker. I work for a foreign company and each and any change to an SOP or practice must be approved by the Regulatory body, hence the need for info. I wish it were just that simple that pilots just install them after the last flight but it isn't. I appreciate your input. I am scouring the ASR's and talking with the MX people at Flight Safety.

I worked for an outfit that had a few Hawkers. We put them in.
