So going to work for a PFT Airline is ok as long as they no longer charge? Why would you not work for an airline one day but then feel its ok because they stoped PFT. It is still the same airline that charged people to work for them. How dose that make you a PROFESSIONAL? I guess If you uesed to have PFT but stoped having PFT you are no longer a bottom feeding scumbag airline?

Because I CHOSE NOT TO PROPAGATE THE PFT. Once that practice was permanently changed, I applied. Unlike the Mesa pilots that CHOSE to go to a bottom feeding company with piss poor management and sub par contract, work rules and pay.

I also walked 89 days to try to get a better contract only to be backhanded by Mesa.

I will gladly buy any and all Mesa pilots a drink when they get liquidated. Then I will show them the door. Last Dec they once again showed their true colors by accepting a sub-par contract that still puts them at the bottom of the list. Last time, their excuse was Freedom. This time their only excuse is "something is better than nothing." They had JO over the barrel. He NEEDED that TA and NEEDED it bad.... they let it go cheap. The sold themselves short once again.

I will however eat crow and shake the hand of Mesa pilots IF THEY EVER STAND UP AND DO ANYTHING TO HELP THEMSELVES AND THEIR FELLOW PILOTS IN THE INDUSTRY instead of continuing to create that giant suction from the bottom that pulls everyone else down with them.

MESA SUCKS!

Drs don't PFT, Lawyers don't PFT, Accountants don't PFT and as a professional pilot I refused to also!

LOL! I will still never understand how and why people continue to equate pilots (especially regional pilots) with the likes of doctors and lawyers. These days (2006, 2007, 2008), anyone with a pulse could become an airline pilot, and it shows. How many times have you flown with someone, and thought, "Damn, this guy/girl doesn't belong in a car let alone an airplane!" At Pinnacle, we've had many FOs who were hired fresh out of high school and just 19 yrs old. That "professional" with just a high school degree and 19-yr old maturity is NOTHING compared to what doctors and lawyers have to go through. So lets be fair, and quit comparing regional pilots to doctors and lawyers.

Some of the dumbest people I know are lawyers. No kidding. I have a friend that passed the Bar on the first try and he's an idiot.

Nope. I waited and applied one month AFTER they suspended PFT. I have professional standards and wouldn't PFT or go to a bottom feeding scumbag operation like Mesa. Yes, I lost seniority by waiting, but maintained my professional integrity. Drs don't PFT, Lawyers don't PFT, Accountants don't PFT and as a professional pilot I refused to also!
"professional integrity" nice try kid.

Have you actually turned on a TV in the last 6 months? This country's economy is in a meltdown and was several months before Mesa accepted a new contract. The fact that they got any improvements with their stock at .25 and the economy in such a sorry state of affairs is a minor miracle. Now you rightfully claim that you helped raise the bar by walking off the job, I agree completely and commend you for it. If you want to blame Mesa for lowering the bar that’s fine and you’re entitled to your opinion. But, your company has also contributed by constantly backpedaling from your bar raising contract with concessions every timeDelta comes calling. Let’s face it regional airlines suck it will always be cut throat. Even if Mesa is gone tomorrow there will be another carrier in its place trying to secure flying for sub par wages. That’s just the way the regional industry is set up.
