RAH was approached by CAL to opperate the Q400. This is per Rev. Bedford. Doesn't think they can do it cost effectively but they are running the numbers.

Well kind of. He said they were asked to bid on the RFP but they didn't think a new fleet type of 15 would be cost effective. (ie their bid would be too high). At this point it's over.

sadly, BB doesn't want to play with props. There are a lot of us former prop drivers at RAH who would love to have another crack at something lower and slower again. Too bad.

yea shuttle had the 340s and would have done well with the United contract instead of colgan and true there are alot of typed pilots still flying for Shuttle and typed in the Dash8 what a same would have been a change from the jets but like its said Rev B wants only big jets! wasnt there something said about all your eggs in one basket? diversity oh well we will never know will we

Yeah, because that last stab at starting up a new type at CAL's request went SO well.
