Hi all,

Just wondering what you guys at Netjets did prior to starting there?

Is there a type of flying that they "prefer" to see on your CV?

Cheers!

V

As long as you meet the minimums, that is all that matters.

I've recommended 2500 pilots, and said no to 31,000 hour guys.

Ran into some peeps in BWI and said they weren't hiring..Is that true?

Yes, that's true -- we haven't hired in several months now, as the industry has slowed down.

As to the question at hand, I've flown with pilots of pretty much every background imaginable. Ex-regional pilots, retired major airline pilots, pilots of airlines that have gone bust (Emery and Midway, among others), ex-military pilots, and lots of others.

What fichman is saying is;

(He is an interviewer)

He has given the "thumbs up" to guys with 2500 hours.

And, given the "thumbs down" to pilots with 31000.

I'm sure it's because he doesn't want to be intimidated by the old guys! :)

So he recommends the ones he thinks he can impress!!!!!!!!!!:)

Sorry man, couldn't resist!

Oh, and get a job as a "hostess", they like that experience these days for some reason.

I.E. When you load a bag, be sure to hold your little finger out to the side".

You old guys scare me!!!!!

Seriously man, that was the funniest post in a while!!! Cheers man!

Just to be clear, EJM (Executive Jet Management), and NJA (NetJets Aviation) are separate entities. I can't speak for EJA, but NJA will NOT be hiring for the foreseeable future.

How long is that? No idea.

135 cargo, private 91 flying, super secret government flying, air ambulance, fighter pilots, helo guys, CFI's, you name it.

I've flown with former:

Bush pilots
Retired airline pilots
Retired military pilots
Regional pilots
Charter pilots
Air ambulance pilots
Cargo pilots
Law enforcement pilots
Other fractional pilots
Good pilots
Bad piots
Tall pilots
Short pilots
Thin pilots
Fat pilots
Some really scary pilots (when it came to skill)
Some really top-notch pilots (when it came to drinking at the hotel

Yet none... as good as me!:D

G 200 Pilot- I challenge you to a duel sir !
TEB Embassy happy hour, I'll be the guy with ugly shorts and a drink in each hand...

DUDE!!! You missed me by ONE night! I was there yesterday and I didn't see anyone who fits your description.

Good to see No Emb Riddle Pilots on the list

Do you ever get a chance to fly?

Unfortunatly, the senior PICs I've been flying with are flying hogs and only let me throw the gear up and down. (wink wink) :erm:

I have a confession.

I am not Porter.

I went to the XL because I was tired of being Flylow's gear bitch. Now CA1900 is MY gear bitch. BWAAAHAHAHAHAHA

Well we all know who Porter is and I hope you make her tour "enjoyable" if you get the honor to fly with her.
