I'm trying to help a transplanted friend out; anybody know of a reputable place in central/southern IL that teaches tailwheel and/or acro? I'm speaking specifically between Champaign and Carbondale. (Mattoon, Charleston area)The closet I found was up near Chicago. I figured some of the SIU guys on here might be more familiar with the area.

I kno one of the guys at MDH has a Decathelon however its spelled. I think he's an instructor there too. Give em a call at 618-529-2359 Place is called tates aviation. The planes not on the list for rental or instruction but he might be able to sell off some hours of his own private instruction too.

Midwest Aviation KPAH.

Worth the drive.

Was a pipeline for wet ticket CFI's from Carbondale a number of years back. I think Mgmt was alumni or something.
