Not too surprised, but what changed?

Well from what I can figure

1. a lot of attrition
2. United flying was re-secured under profitable terms
3. EAS routes were secured at higher subsidy
4. Possible expansion of the Q

I am sure more info will come out soon
 
What's the word with you guys and Usair flying? Been going around for months that management wanted out of the system because the saab flying was losing money and the sand castle refused to renegotiate your contract...

The result was Colgan pulling out of SYR, ALB and PVD.

The way we (the employees) understood it was they wanted to re-negotiate the US Airways contract for more money and US Airways wasn't willing to work. PNCL Corp then got up and walked away telling Airways that they are done Oct. 31. Airways said SEEYA and then called back a day later saying they were willing to work with Colgan. So, PDT didn't win these routes back, Colgan released them due to the low load factors and high price of fuel.

Remember Colgan's SAAB flying is a contract agreement and NOT a Capacity Purchase Agreement. We burden the cost of Fuel, Mx, Crews, and Landing Fees.

Good thing no one will get furloughed AND we still need to vote ALPA in!

What's going on with Colgan in Houston? Any growth planned there? Is it a junior or senior base?

Yes, the future may be looking bright, so we gots to git it right. Soon we may be big enough to matter, so we gots to avoid a regional airline disaster.
