From the article:

Houston-based Continental said it will begin pulling back on flights in September, when departures on its mainline operations will drop about 16 percent below September 2007 levels. Fourth-quarter capacity will fall 11 percent.
Interesting that they throw that qualifier on there.

The way I see it, the gesture of the two top big-wigs not taking anymore compensation for the year will be used as a bargaining chip and a management request/negotiation for the loosening of scope is right around the corner. Regardless if scope is loosened or not, what's next is someone...be it XJT, SKW, CHQ, etc...is going to get some CO flying.

Until this economic terrorism we are facing with the ridiculous price of oil subsides a little...right or wrong, like it or not...I think the regionals that play their cards right stand to benefit the most from all of this mess. Great for the regional lifers, not so great for everyone else.

Everybody ignore PCL the pathetic little ALPA troll and let's get back on topic.

Maybe you should take a look back and see who it was that got this thread off topic. Hint: it wasn't me.

You kept running with it, though...making sure to get your jabs in on USAPA in a frickin' thread about Continental. (I thought calling a pilot group "scabs" was a no-no around here these days...?)

Not to mention...the post that shot the wheels off was directly related to your track record of constant "ALPA is God" rhetoric.

Once, just once...can we have some sort of civil discourse about the uncertainty of everything that is going on in this industry without you or Rez coming along and turning into a union pissing match? None of this has anything to do with ALPA, USAPA, SWAPA, the Teamsters, the MLBPA, theAssociation of Pizza Delivery Drivers, the Screen Actors Guild (or the Film Actors Guild, for that matter)...it has to do with 3,000 people losing their jobs and airplanes being grounded because of fuel costs. 3,000 people that, despite the best efforts of their union, will not be bringing home a paycheck in the coming months.

So then, if it is relevant, by all means invoke union discussion...but, please, leave the rhetoric that 95% of us here are sick and tired of hearing from you and Rez out of this.

Again, Rez and myself don't just come along and insert the union discussion of our own accord. We merely respond when other posters start attacking. If Bdfg1 never would have posted an ALPA attack, then I never would have entered this thread. You don't like the union talk? Then blame the guy who started it, not me.

You're welcome, scab.

Please reference my previous post. Again I offered my full name, alpa #, and old employee # in order for you to check your scab list. You replied with, "I couldn't possibly care less." You have lost all credibility in the fact you will blindly call someone a scab without confirming if it is true. Alpo has taught you well.

See ya!

You've already admitted to working on the USCABA drive. That's enough to make you a SCAB. Checking a list isn't necessary.

That's odd. The official scab list I have does not have any of the USABA members on it. Wait a second...did alpo provide you with a new scab list that the rest of the industry is not aware of? I'd be willing to pay you money for that list. However I doubt it exists conisdering your stance towards facts are, "I couldn't possibly care less."

There is no such thing as an "official scab list," as far as ALPA is concerned. Individual MECs have published lists during strikes in the past, but no comprehensive list has ever been published by ALPA. The so-called "Master Scab List" that so many people carry is unofficial, although very accurate. If you have an "official ALPA scab list," then I'm sure ALPA would love to see it.
