A 5th year Mesa Capt flys a CRJ900 for one hour, he makes $69 bucks.

A 5th year SkyWest Capt flys a CRJ900 for one hour, he makes $69 bucks.

I guess the difference would be....

The SKW CA woluld make sure his crew cuts in front of other airline crews at the security line because SKE is such a better airline than all those other "little" carriers.

URRRRGGGGHHHH!!!

The same captain st SKYW would make $69 if the flight got canceled.

The Mesa guy would get $0

For working only one hour that day the captain at SKYW would make $264

The Mesa captain $69

If that same flight over blocked by 30 minutes the SKYW guy would make $103.50

Mesa guy $69

If another SkyW guy dead headed on that flight he would make $69

I think the Mesa guy gets $34.5 ( I could be wrong on that).

Thats just a small example of the difference.

um...profit sharing, performance rewards....um stock purchase plan...min daily gurantee, 2 for 1 duty rig, 100% cancellation pay, 100% deadhead pay. No junior manning...Gosh I'm not sure, what is the difference?

I for one don't want to be like Commutair or Mesa. Nice comparison, little man.

Why is it that people always blame the trouble of the airline to the one entity whose fiduciary responsibility is solely to the pilots rather than to the management group? Is it that they drink too much koolaid that they automatically think its always the union's fault? Just imagine how much worse Mesa would be if it wasn't for the pilots' union.
