Anyone else watching this? It is really a good program. I did a tour as ship's company and lived that life, this brings back a lot of memories. Those sailors's are awesome. I was impressed with how many young sailors rescued their lives by joining the military. Highly recommended

Just ran into this series last night and set the DVR to get all of the episodes. I was really surprised at the honesty of the documentary and the frank statements made by a lot of the E3's about the tedious dark side to life on a carrier.

Still, every job is only as bad or as good as you choose to make it.

Surprised???? You should watch more PBS. They are a little different than FOX news propoganda and CNN scare tactics. I recommend PBS news hour to get a real picture of the world and how we are screwing things up.

It's a great show. Makes me wish I could go back to college and join the Navy instead of pursuing this airline crap.

Any chance the Navy will hire a 31 year old? Don't need to fly... been there done that. Just would like to work for an outfit I can be proud of.

You are too old for aviation unfortunately, but if you really do have the urge to serve, you could go Navy Reserve in any number of officer communities.

You will probably be activated at some point, but it sounds like you want to get in the game anyway, so go for it...

Ya your first 10 traps you won't have a clue what just happened. You'll be lucky to even remember what just happened. Just keep the ball on the high side and keep line up in your scan, you'll be alright.

Yeah, you weren't kidding. I barely had time to think coming out of the break, the touch and goes went super fast, and all of a sudden I was hook down and on board. The launches were a trip too! Coolest thing I have ever done!

Yeah, you know whats sad? The T-45 cat shot is actually lower than a no-load. Notice them dry firing the cats? It's to keep them warm. Wait until you take a cat shot in something that has an end speed of 170 knots. Whoooweeee!!
