No flame, really.

I mean maybe the plane was broke, but I was back and forth to Vegas all last week and saw one of the XO Xs on the ramp. It was buttoned up with XO Jet engine covers. It hadn't moved in five days. I asked the ramp guys to verify it. What gives?

Just curious.:)

I guess that's how they get out of ferrying so much....

Just leave em sit.... What a genius idea...???

Must be nice... I could deal with a little Vegas vacation. Do you know what the tail number was? Maybe it was broken?

Our X's fly between 1200 and 1300 hours per year each. The fleet average is around 105 hours per plane per month. It seems like plenty of flying to me, but I'm sure we could increase it a little.

Just out of curiosity, anybody have any idea what a NJ X averages per month?

I guess that X will need to fly some over time to make its numbers for the month.

I am not sure what our Xs fly on average but it's a lot. I rarely see any standing still durring daylight hours.

I saw four leaving Vegas last Sunday if that helps. I also saw a 2000, a couple Ultras, a couple Encores, a couple 400s, a XLS and a G200.

QS tails take up a lot of ramp space.:)

That XO ten must have been broke. No other explanation for it.

I was in LAS last tour with G200. We picked up a XO jet crew on the way to Sig. from the hotel. Don't know the story for it sitting there but they were the new crew and were taking it out. Nice guys.

You honestly need to get yourself a life. I'm sure you have better things to do than sit and watch an XOJet plane sit for 5 days. Nice bit you put in there about checking with the line guy. Yeah Right! By the way did you catch XOJets ad in the WSJ?

Actually, I was going about my "life" and made an obvious observation. You see I happened to be doing out and backs to Vegas all last week. By the luck of the draw, I over nighted in Vegas four nights in a row. We were at the airport every morning and I just happened to see the XO Jet sitting there in the same spot. On the fourth day I asked the line guys because it seemed odd. He told me the plane hadn't moved but wasn't sure why.

Just a curiousity. Sorry if I was being too nosey.

And no, I missed the AD. Was it a big two pager? I love those.:)

That's funny! I have noticed that Capt Dad always starts the threads on XOJET. Maybe he wants a job there? or is scared of a little competition... jk Dad, no flame intended.

There are those that just talk smack and then there are those who try to educate themselves then discuss.

Being the first type makes you look like a fool and gets you nowhere.

I try to fall in with the second group.

As for the Job offer; I would be happy to accept an interview. It would be great to see your operation up close. However, I have doubts that I would be able to accept, for obvious reasons.:)

Oh come on...

I'm not talking smack, settle down.

I was just kidding. I like inquiring about all aspects of our crazy industry also. I try to know as much as possible about everything going on so I can make an educated decision on where I would like to work next.

Actually, I was the one assigned to that aircraft, and yes, to put all myths down - we flew that jet back and forth to Las Vegas on THREE different trips within those 5 days.....all to Signature FS. 2 owner trips and 1 charter. They know us well! I flew 42 hrs on that bird in 7 days.

Captain Dad - you seem to be getting a little worried! Lead, follow, or get out of the way! Everybody will be following us soon enough!!!!

Sorry Cherry, I really didn't mean to imply that you were talking smack. I was just making a general statement.

I tell you, it never ceases to amaze me how people automatically assume when one person talks about someone elses company they think it is a big put down.

I am glad that X wasn't broke. When they first came out they had a bunch of quirks that needed to be ironed out. I was actually excited to possibly run into some XO guys first hand to pick they're brains about the company and get some first hand info.

I try to make a little humorous jab at the new guys and I get jumped. Now who needs to relax?

Geez! "Lead, follow, or get out of the way?" OK.

Good Luck. Fly Safe.
