Southwest is going to pick up all of Alohas mainland to Hawaii flying with their 700s, I believe they have operations at all of Alohas mainland destinations already... ATA being Southwests codeshare to Hawaii they dont want to miss out on that.... Skywest will do the codeshare with them interisland and together they will help dig a hole deep enough for ornstein to never crawl out of.... they are the major and regional with the money and resources to do it...

sounds great to me... and remember it happened here in flight info......

SkyWest will use their newly approved extended overwater cert to fly to Papeete, Guam, and Sydney from HNL.

Not to nit pick, but that would require ETOPs, extended over water and ETOPs not the same thing. SWA in their 73's maybe, but I doubt they'd spend the money for the certification and equip. However without ATA and their ETOPs 73's who knows?????

How is southwest going to make 15 stops on their way to HNL--those old ass texans are going to fall asleep!!!

Unfortunately, the type of education we are talking about here, should have come a long time before any thoughts of flying an airplane.

If they had that education prior they might have been smart enough to not become pilots who make no money and have no future to speak of...
