I read a thread on another board that a B2 crashed in Guam shortly after takeoff. Pilots ejected ok. Can anyone find a link to a news report?

It's all over FOX News and CNN. What are they worth? 2 Billion? Well, at least the pilots are ok and ejected safely. Interesting to see what happened.

Ouch... glad to hear nobody got hurt. $1.2 billion per is the figure CNN is touting. This might be the most expensive aircraft accident in history...

Has anyone in the know been able to confirm they got out safely? Its not so easy to tell after the last few day's incident...

You mean that all of the myriad of news stories don't convince you?
This is from the Guam Pacific Daily News:

TO THE POINT

Two pilots safely ejected before their B-2 Spirit stealth bomber crashed shortly after takeoff at Andersen Air Force Base yesterday.

Well a duck brought down a B-1 so I guess a yellow breasted plover probably brought down the B-2. Hopefully the B-3 will be bird proof.

No birds on Guam.. maybe it was brown tree snakes.

Enough is enough. I've had it with these Mo**** F*****g snakes on a plane.

$1.2 BILLION!!!

That's a LOT of per diem.

I wonder if they have AVEMCO insurance???

Wow, the military really likes to wreck their pricey hardware on Guam. Not quite as expensive (only 1 billion dollars per sub) as the B2 was the crash of the USS San Francisco a few years ago (click here) when it ran aground in 525 feet of water and was there in dry dock for ages.

There are plenty of pigeons on Guam.

will nobody take the easy joke on this.

A stealth bomber crashed in Guam.....they are still looking for it.

USAF is reviewing episodes of superfriends in order to better find the wreck of the stealth bomber...wonder woman and all.

A ground agent bumped into the wreckage...never actually saw it but did feel it...

Come on guys what your ALL from cleveland.....
