John,
This is might be what he was refering to....

Perhaps, but it doesn't say anything that "DC may deal a blow", meaning they will not approve it. They only say it will depend on approval. Meaning it could go either way.

My point was that The General was interpreting on the pessimistic side, even though that's not what the article said. He likes to say he's only the messenger and we shouldn't criticize him when he posts these articles. Yet he always seems to put his own spin on the material, even if it's a couple of words in the title line. You see, The General just likes to stir up trouble, and then when the trouble comes, he steps back and acts innocent. That's his MO and I'm calling him out on it.

General Lee delta swift kick to nuts!
-Washington regulators cheer!

-General obviously still thinks people care about his silly posts.

What a tool! Apparently, the General now posts here 24 hrs. a day, or has hired a group of little Mexicans to do so as his proxy.

He may post here a lot, but you are obssesed with him.

General....

It's 3am here, but 8am in Frankfurt. And General's hiding in his hotel room on the internet.

Yep, he's always on that internet, ain't he? I'll bet things won't turn out so bad for our bud, the General. The gear lever on a DC-9 works pretty much the same way-I'll bet he can figure it out!

P.S.-A little DC-9 time and our pal will have to revamp his definition of RJ, won't he? Those durn RJs are just screwing up the whole world!

Ok, what am I missing. He just quoted the headline of the article, right? I think in this case you're going overboard looking for something that's not there, just a guess.

I'm sure you know a lot about men's nuts

-General obviously still thinks people care about his silly posts.
Obviously some care enough to make smart ass remarks!;)

Or what's worse, someone monitoring how often someone posts!
I believe its called stalking, jerkoff!

Well maybe he had read THIS article...

By Associated Press

Delta and Northwest Airlines are in formal merger talks, according to the chairman of the House Transportation committee.

Congressman James Oberstar tells the Minneapolis Star-Tribune he met with two Northwest executives in his Washington office yesterday.

Although Northwest is talking with Delta, it will look for another partner if Delta tries to merge with United Airlines instead.

Oberstar says the Northwest executives told him there would be little route overlap and therefore no significant effect on competition. He strongly disagrees and wants both the Justice and Transportation Departments to study the effect of large airline mergers on the flying public.

I'm wondering the same thing.... His thread title is the exact same title as the article.
