Anybody fly into MDW today at around 2:20 local time I saw a SWA 73 on short final go around just assumed it was some sort of runway incursion pretty bada** to see it in person though. Any facts would be great thanks.

I don't get it why everytime there is a go-around does some dork (yes you) come on here and talk about it, on my last 4 day I saw 2, should we talk abouth em.

Did you see his total time? He's still stoked to see larger airplanes doing things like this. Cut him some slack. I'm sure at one point you would have thought it was pretty cool to see though.

Alimbo,

Go arounds are a part of life in the airline world. I dont have any stats on it but they happen a lot more often then you think. If it was on short final my guess would be that the preceeding aircraft didn't clear the runway in enough time, but who really knows. It does tend to be annoying but then again we are paid by the hour.

I agree. Let's have a little class and act like the role models we admired when we wanted to break into this business.

samballs, what did you prove or gain by treating this youngster so poorly? other than the fact that you're quite the jerk.

If people can't fly the airplane the way it should be, then maybe we should be talking about it. Basic airmanship folks.:angryfire

I didn't see the "sarcasm sign" anywhere in your post, did I miss it? If you're being serious then I feel bad for your students and hope to God, or Allah, or Buddha, or whoever that you're no longer infecting the minds of future pilots with that kind of nonsense.

Quit your crying. And BTW- i wasnt being sarcastic, merely stating that I do not do them all that often.

I was a CFI out of MDW for almost four years. The first four or five go-arounds I saw seemed pretty neat at the time. By my second week on the job I didn't even notice them.

Oh man you guys. It sure doesn't take a pilot long to sprial a thread out of control.

Since this thread is dead I'm gonna steal it.

I say sandy beach - you say..............

Gup

If you read post by ALIMBO, you will begin to think that the FAA has given Corky a certificate

...so a guy (you) with an avatar depicting a cartoon character urinating on a rival college's logo is somehow better equipped to succeed in this (or any) industry? you, sir, are one classy fellow.

Guess your Corky's sister. If you want I can place one of a kid crapping in a Mich helmet, I cant put one of a Mich cheerleader giving Brutus head (banned me for 7 days), I can place one of a deformed girl in a mich uniform (even I think that one is bad). What would you like? How about we all never have fun in life and only come on here. Maybe I will quit rooting for sports teams becuase they lead to a path of destruction? Well let me know because I cannot figure out how having a cartoon avatar determines my professionalism.

you've learned some great comebacks as a FO at the regionals. Unfortunately, with your attitude, you will probably be there for quite some time.

Good day.
Wasn't looking to make a comeback. Your sentence has two wrong statements about me, but don't worry about it.
