Hey!

I have 1 week off starting the 15th of January. I'm looking for somewhere fun to jumpseat/non-rev to. I'll be traveling with me, myself, and I.

I'm looking for a unique, off the beaten track destination. I'm from the midwest so It'd be nice to feel some warmth, but I also DO NOT want to lay on a beach and get tanked for a week either.

I am a us citizen so visa/passport isn't an issue. I fly for a major airline so international jumpseat/ZED travel just about anywhere is possible.

Lets hear your suggestions and stories!

How about Grand Cayman? You could get your open-water scuba certification in less than a week. Friendly people, low crime rate.

Good suggestions except that cleveland one...

Any good dive shops reccomendations on the Cayman's?

RIO BABY!

Best looking chicks around who LOVE gringo's!

From there just select Caymans and it'll give you all PADI dive shops in the Caymans. Never been to the Caymans, but I've always been satisfied with PADI shops.

Another to consider,
From FLL there are lots of direct flights to MYYN (Nassau). Has great diving. It is a little cheaper than the Caymans, and you can spent US $ everywhere. Also, you can go to Paradise Island (Atlantis Resort and Casino). Its also relatively safe, just don't go looking for trouble and don't leave your wallet hanging out of your back pocket. Go to http://www.stuartcove.com/index.html
for a good Nassau dive shop.

If you rent a car remember that it was a British colony, so they drive on the left.

Nassau is one of my personal favourites.

Enjoy your travels.
