I heard a rumor that JB and NWA do NOT have a jumpseat agreement. Is this true? Do any JB's commute from MSP? If you do, have you had any problems.....TSA or other trying to get to work?

Thanks,
CC

I have a JetBlue buddy that sometimes gets some flack and is asked for his ALPA card, but I believe that is just a few dumba$$ pilots. We all have those at our own airlines. I also know that a lot of the JetBlue MSP commuters come over to the Humphrey terminal and fly on Sun Country to get to JFK. You're always welcome at SCA.

I commute from MSP.

SCA has two flights a day to JFK, AA has 3 or 4 a day to LGA, and NWA has at least 8 flights a day to JFK and LGA. I had problems with NWA a couple of years ago (what schafjet said) but as of the last couple of years no problems. I would call it an easy commute with lots of options.

IB6, have you had any issues getting through security either at the HHH or Lindbergh term? They gave me big stink one time because they told me AWAC was not on their list of airlines to let through security because we didn't go to MSP....which was insane because I was on an overnight. It was the only time it happend, but they told me that if your airline doesn't go to MSP, you can't get through security...

Nope, never had a problem. I usually go to the counter first at the HHH for SCA because it is just easier, so I usually have a pass to get through security. Never a problem at the Lindbergh terminal. For AA and NWA just go to the gate. AA used to have you call the nonrev # and meal list but if you are CASS just show up at the gate now. Everyone, NWA included, has been great (Thanks for the ride folks).

If you go thru HHH, they seem to be more strict than Lindbergh terminal for some reasons... Like you said, if you jumpseat, you have to get a gate pass, and will probably get secondary security check at the TSA checkpoint.

But if you jumpseat out of Lindbergh, their employee line is fast and convenient.

Careful, you haven't been on my airplane yet.

I was on your airplane back in the early 90's and you threw my checklist on the floor, moved my seat all the way back, and then told me not to touch anything! I'm still having nightmares.

Let that be a lesson to you. Haven't I taught you anything?
