Anybody know of any Good AMEs in the Boston area, or a good website to use for a search. Looking for an airline pilot friendly AME, wham-bam-thank you mam.

There used to be a website that reviewed AMEs but I can't get it to work anymore.

You might try Dr.Hill in Marlboro, MA. Reasonably priced but also very thorough. His number is 508-485-0104.
Good Luck

is Maine an option? I know a couple up there and one if you have good vision, the rest doesn't really matter, but I here from one that the feds are starting to crack down a little, so your first one might be a little more thorough regardless.

Dr. David Rosengard in Southie on West Broadway. $75 for a first class and pretty easy. 411 the Rosengard Clinic. Most appointments are in the evenings.

Mr. I.

I used him last year and it was painless. He's a good bet.

Dr. Borden in Groton, MA has quite a following. He's a good guy and the process is painless. A little bit of whitecoat syndrome is no problem there.

When I lived up there Breed in Newburyport was pretty painless.

DEFPOTEC

Well, sad to say Breed is in jail now. :(

If you are in the BVY area Doc Friedman will take good care of you. He is a very active pilot and a good guy! Call Beverly Flight center to schedule appointments. (978) 774-7755 I think he only does stuff of Wednesdays so book early.

...20/20 according to my eye doctor but every once in awhile I have trouble with the AME machine...not sure if it is not calibrated correctly or what. Never bad enough to not pass, just nerve racking guessing and worrying about not passing. I've been bouncing around (moving) alot and my blood pressure starts to boil til I figure out what type of vision test my new AME has. On that note anybody know any BOS Ame's that are good and that have the old school "hold a spoon over your eye" vision test? Thanks

Dr. Borden is no longer in business. From what I heard the IRS didn't agree with his thoughts on payment of taxes.
The AME I use now is Dr Garhart in Bedford, NH

Sorry to say that Dr. Rosengard passed away on 9/13. I had gone to him for 20 years. He was a great AME and a friend to pilots.

That's awful news, He was the best AME in Boston. The best old school pilot Doctor ever...FWIW I'm sure his office is still doing flight physicals.
