As it stands right now, 50% of the NWA pilots are over the age of 50...for a NWA new hire that is a very big reason to join on. If there was a Delta/NWA merger, that would be lost. Is the merger a good thing for the NWA new hire?
OK, as far as quick advancement I was mainly speaking to the Delta new hire. I think the NWA new hire would benefit in the long run however since the new company would have a much better chance of long term stability and profitability which could translate into good pay raises and being part of a company that will be around your whole career (never any guarantees of course). Delta is also growing into other parts of the world so international growth would be better with a Delta managment team in my opinion. Hope that helps.
