Anyone hear about Mesa Management asking JetBlue to stop hiring Mesa Pilots? Since Mesa is so short.

Dunno about JB, but, I would bet a paycheck on it that if Mesa Mgt asked ANY HR dept to do that, the HR dept would just laugh at them.

Agreed. I've heard the same thing before, just with different airline names thrown around. The bottom line is, everyone--meaning both the pilots and the airlines--looks out for themselves. If Mesa can't keep pilots, that is obviously neither the fault nor the problem of any major carrier.

Sometimes on occasion airline managements stand in solidarity with one another. During a strike some airlines stand with the other airline's management and hire VERY few, if any, striking pilots even if its obvious they would never go back if the strike was over (i.e. a large upward movement anyway).

Mesa and JetBlue are experiencing high attrition right now, especially relative to their own segments of the industry. But I seriously doubt JB management cares one bit if Mesa can keep pilots or not. There are many Mesa pilots at JetBlue and they continue to be hired.

JB is probably pi$$ed off at the former Mesa Dash 8 pilots who screwed up their schedules with slow flying at JFK......

Is true. Air Wisconsin also contacted JetBlue for the same reason.

SOOOOOO glad JB din't listen!
