You forgot to mention an almost 50% fail rate for street captains and a 121 PIC Pink Slip that could damage your career for years to come.
"Say NO to Phil!!!"

After looking into it myself, I found this out....

Pay sucks ($55/hr), work rules suck, QOL sucks, and reserve extremely sucks (and 2+ years of it probably)

3500TT, 2000ME, 1000 Turbine required.

You go through FO training, have to do 100 hours of FO flying, then can go to upgrade.

D'oh I'm on the 7-8 year Captain scale and I make $54 an hour. I guess Matt Damon said it best in Rounders:"If you've sat at the table for 30 min. and you can't spot the sucker.... your it"

Don't do it!!!!! Pinnacle is a cesspool, and the failure rate for street Captains is over 50%. Don't ruin your career, especially for a job at that sh*&hole.

True, if you live in MEM or MSP.

But if you're a Michigander, Compass doesn't have a DTW base. Will one open up? Probably, but so far, nothing. As for Mesaba, if you get the CR9 or S340, you can get DTW. But if you get the CRJ200, then you're stuck at MSP, and there seem to be no plans for any CRJ200 base opening at DTW. So that uncertainty is something you gotta consider in case you get the 200 at Mesaba. At Pinnacle, DTW is guaranteed... even for people who don't want it. It sucks for them, but is good for Wolverines.

If you go to XJ, and want DTW or MEM and are offered the job, just make it clear that you do not want the 200 because you live in DTW or MEM. There are tons of spots in all aircraft. I'm sure they will put you in the Saab or 900. Just don't insist on the 900, as you might get labeled as "one of them".
