Hopefully the Buckeyes won't be in the rose bowl this year, because with no direct service from Columbus, how will they ever get to the west coast?

As far as the Rose Bowl goes, there will be plenty of unused west-bound capacity from a state just north of Ohio.

Starting a cheap low cost airline that has reduced employee pay is what Southwest was born from......and look where they are now.

Reduced pay is one thing......... 40% of standard wage for captains is just insulting. Im going to make that much as a 145CA flying a plane with 1/3 the capacity. Lets not even get into how the Flight attendants are paid..... commission plus $9.00/hr... C'mon not with our strict work rule does that equal a liveable wage.

Hey I'm sure we could find you a picket line to cross.....

One doesn't have to be an aviation historian to realize that a LCC's success is a one-in-a-hundred occurance.

Everyone likes to compare the two, but I think there was more to offer in the "golden triangle" of Dallas LUV, and where ever the other two places were than Columbus. Plus, did Southwest start up with brand new airplanes? I think they used the old -200 series that they picked up used, more on the lines with what Allegiant is doing now but different.

This may be old folk loar (sp) but I heard that Cliff used to steal parts off of Delta 737 at night to keep the fleet running. Is that true? Either way...pretty humorous.

My only point was that they are just starting and trying a differant model. If it works and then they increase the pay of the employees it would be just like SW. If SW was just starting today you would complain....but now alot want to work for them.

Why can't those 2 pond scums merge to form the new GO-BUS AIRLINES. With non stop service from CMH to TOL.

WHAT? Columbus, OH no longer has direct service to San Diego and Washington State? The horror! Why Columbus is the biggest, most importantest city in the Midwest. Just ask any Ohio State fan! Hopefully the Buckeyes won't be in the rose bowl this year, because with no direct service from Columbus, how will they ever get to the west coast?
UAL??
