That's better that most DZs, but it is still only $20 per flight hour. In a 182, each load to 10K will be .5 on the hobbs, (on a good day). If the 182 is a POS or the DA is high, it will take longer.
At a busy DZ, you may do 12-15 loads a day. At $10 per load, the pay would be better than a lot of other low-end flying jobs. It's a lot of fun, but, back to back 12-hour+ duty days gets old in a hurry.
Over the years, I have flown jumpers on weekends to build fixed-wing time and I remember some Saturdays and Sundays in the summer when I dropped the first load at 8am and landed from the last load at 9pm. But it seems to go by very fast when it's busy.
