FFDO applicant backlog?

Anyone know why it's taking so long for FFDO applicants to get processed?

It's been over a month since my background check was noted completed and now it says "adjudication pending" which they say takes "from couple of days to two weeks."

They say not to call, but they're way outside of their own window. Anyone know what gives??

Maybe he needs to bid vacation next year, and it would be nice to have a class date to bid around.

Already burned thru some vacation thinking they would have completed the whole enchilada 6 months ahead of when I originally bid for vacation.

They didn't...

My background was completed in July and it took until late Sep to get final aproval from TSA.

You can sit in adjudication for months (me...4), it's quite normal.

Not an FFDO, actually. I realize it's not SSI, but every time the FFDO thing gets brought up in any way, the thread seems to degenerate into semi-SSI stuff pretty quick. Seems to me like it's better just not to talk about it at all.

I called and my background was completed even though nothing was completed on line or sent to me. I was then emailed a list of classes that were open and made a choice. You wont be put to the bottom of the list just becasue you call for a status report....
