So, when are we going to see Colgan's Dash 8 Q400s at EWR? Anyone know how many will arrive before end of 2007? Any ideas on potential initial destinations?

I fly into and out of TEB all the time and just waiting to see those big birds fly over on their way into EWR.

As soon as CAL figures out where to park them, they are so damn big they dont fit anywhere. They take up the same space as a 737-300.

as soon as they find some more scabs to fly them.

That's what I had heard too. Another factor taking place is Bombardier's assembly line is behind the curve.

Amen to that. They'll get no love from this XJT guy after their ALPA vote showed their true colors.

Alpa sucks. Why is US Airways getting rid of them?? Why do they feel the need to pay some XJT guy 60+ grand a year to talk to me over some food paid by your dues??

Gee I sure wouldn't want to disrupt your ideal working conditions. I figure anything is better than the conditions you guys are currently working under.

I didn't say ALPA is great but ALPA is only as good as your local leadership. Thankfully we have good local leadership at XJT and have seen some benefits of that.

Agreed. Don't worry I'm not looking to deny jumpseats or anything. I just can't understand for the life of me why they wouldn't unionize

unions are stupid and we don't need them. That is why

You also have excellent management.

I agree we need representation. We need to fight to stop the upcoming storm. We have major problems that need fixing now. Mabey we do not want ALPA backing us? To say that we have no true colors, are spineless, or scabs so soon by other brothers on this board just due to the fact that we do not want ALPA on our property has no foundation.

I am all for unions. We will eventually be merged with PNCL Airlines. Although the US Airways/AWA merger may be different from ours, thier situation makes me think. They have east pilots who will loose 17 years senority! I may not know much about Unions or the industry, but from what I can see ALPA does not have strength to back any local leadership during times of trouble.

How could threats like this be acceptable from our own brothers?!
