1. Does anyone know whether NWA pays for Hotel during initial long-term training? I know they don't pay for Hotel when you come for the interview.

2. Does anyone know what the pay is in training (how many flight pay hours per month?), I know pay is like $30 per hour, correct?

3. Is Per Diem paid 24/7 through training? Is that still $1.85?

Other than training, do you current NWA guys know whether contract negotiations are forthcoming in the near future and whether or not this may start to bring work rules and pay back up? It is sad to say that the work rules at my regional carrier are better than most major carriers today. Certainly this must change in the face of the looming shortage at the majors in order to be competetive in retaining pilots.

Note: I know this is a lot, but I want to do my homework in considering NWA. Please no wisecracks and flame bait replies I only want the facts. Thank you.

If you are based in MSP then no hotel or per diem. I am not sure how they will work it this tiime around, previously it seemed as everyone was based in MSP the first few weeks or months and then they based them to DTW. I do know that during the recall, the training dept. was extremely accomodating to almost anyone needing a hotel.

80 hrs a month at first year pay.

If you are not based in MSP and yes, I believe it is $1.85/hr.

Contract amendable date is Dec 2011. We have already gained some work rules back and I wouldn't be surprised to see us continue in contract repairs prior to the amendable date.
