Seriously. No. But, if you get hired you will be screened for nicotine.
 
Does Alaska ask you to do a physical during the interview?

It depends on how quick they want you in class. I came back to SEA 3 times; 1st interview, 2nd interview (job offer same day), then back to SEA for a drug test. I have met people that did their drug testing the day of, and one the day after their second interview.

Their was no "physical" other than a nicotine and drug urine test - as well as fingerprinting. Nothing like what AMR puts you through.

The difference in timing is because the drug tests have to be completed no sooner than 30 days prior to your class date to be valid.

I believe it's part of the contract you sign there so you agree to be smoke free. It's for insurance reasons - keeping the costs lower for non-smokers.
 
How about you quit smoking. You might get a job and you might live longer. Plus, you can run up hills and avoid that attractive hacker's cough...
