Yeah Boyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

"The airline noted yesterday that it intends to add five to 10 Boeing jets each year into its fleet from 2009 through 2011, according to a Bloomberg report."

What I had understood it that they are getting 19 next year instead of 30 something. Is that still the case? Are these 25 new orders for 2009-2011 then?

I couldn't get it to work either, so I just put heraldnet.com in and searched Southwest and it came up. It's actually a very short article and doesn't say a whole lot.

This is the part that stuck out at me:

Boeing also added several unidentified orders for six 787s, two 777s and three 737s. It brings Boeing's order total for the year to 616.

The backlog must be years long to get a new aircraft these days.

Airbus must be kicking themselves all the way back to Toulouse.

SWA just exercised options that were already on the books. They are still slowing down from what was earlier planned. This is just a housekeeping measure on options that were bought years ago.
