OMG.....this sucks........I think I FUBAR'd the app. 1) You have 5 minutes to stay signed on and fill in the blanks.....demand accurate info, but beat the clock....nice I got most of it in, hit CONFIRM to save most of the data with the plan to come back for the loose ends after hitting the rest of the app...but... 2) By going to Page 9 from page 8, SUPRISE you submit you app.....apparently NO prompt such as "Please check your entries, advancing to page nine=SUBMIT" or anything like it. I hope the marketing department wasn't in charge of this.....any ideas or are the gods keeping me away on purpose????

You can reapply in six months.

Just kidding. Hope the best for you, if United is where you want to be.

Hi!

From another board:

]...word around the DEN training center (called "TK" by UA peeps) is that there were only 600 apps after the first 3 days - they were expecting 3000+.

Wow, 600 apps versus the expected 3000. If true that's definately indicitave of good news for our profession. Maybe pilots really are starting to command some pricing power in the market place again.

I wonder if that means they will be forced to stop keeping score of leg crossings and jacket removals at interviews now?

No Uniited for you!! No great loss.

I guess 3 year college interns are still running the app, interview, and hiring program at UA. I interviewed there in 95. What a joke!! The " Line Capt" sat side saddle to the HR lady, whom did all she could to make me feel uncomfortable....... Needless to say, I was not hired there. I predict that if a true "pilot shortage" materializes, they will have scouts kissing private pilots a$$es in order to persuade them into flying some of UA's parked airplanes!!!

I always wanted to fly for United when I started in this career. But it's hard to turn down a 6 figure corporate job for $25,000 the first year at United.

Dont think I could do that to my family.

Maybee the industry will change, but there's always some sucker who will fly for nothing!

I received the flight time assessment questionnaire on the 17th, completed it, and have gotten nothing since then. Has everyone received the personality test? Or only some?
