There was another Family Airlines in Las Vegas in the early 90s: They were selling jobs on the B-747, a Captain's seat cost $50,000.00, F/O $30K, etc.

Plenty of folks bought into it and lost it all..

The guy behind the scam then was a perfume salesman.

This scam has been around for years, at least 10 that I know of. Considering the ease of acquiring older 74's and finding crews on the street to fly them, the fact that they haven't "taken off' by now is a give away.

Classy

NICE! When you click on employment it is just a link to a Yahoo email address! Couldn't even spring for an email address linked to their web address.-kingaira90

THey advertise flying on a 400...well where are the winglets then. THat looks like a touched up pic of a Kalitta 747. What a f'in joke!!

The background in those pics looks more like Oscoda then Vegas.

found this on Wikipedia. I know but at least some more info. Same CEO as back in the 90's, and ties to Frank Lorenzo!!!!

The company, which was active from 1992-1993 was far enough along in the process to have aircraft painted in their livery[2] and hire and advertising agency.[3] The airline had the backing of 65 former Pan American pilots.[4] The airline was one of many that Frank Lorenzo was involved in trying to start. This turned out to be a failed attempt to found a low-cost carrier in 1992-1993. Due to financial irregularities, the company was denied DOT/FAA flight certification.
On June 19, 1996 a court ruled that the married Barry Michaels and Holly S. Michaels participated in the fraudulent offering of $5 million of unregistered stock.[5]
By 2004, the company had changed its name to Family Airlines, Inc from Family Airlines. On May 11, 2007 Family Airlines posted a wanted ad for a Director of Operations following the filing of the FAA paperwork[citation needed] to be certified as an airline.[6]
