And you and SWA/FO are the same
Does anyone really believe the legacies are out of the woods? A quick trip through CH 11 and good as new? Riiiiight.
"And I love the part when you say "I pollute FI"----huh? I deliver the TRUTH. People need to know what they could have at your company, and then make an informed decision. We all say the pay is great and the stews are fun, but then we add that there are multiple leg days that will continue forever, with quick turns that may exhaust people eventually. You will also only fly one type (unless you can show me a new order), and that can get boring. You also may hit LBB, MAF, and AMA, which is the truth----it changes from base to base (my buddy who is MDW based just went to LBB for the first time last month and got sick on a quesadilla from the hotel restaurant, and the management didn't care he said). 5 or 6 legs a day can be exhausting, and there is less of that at a legacy. People need to know the pros and cons, and they have already been laid out for legacies, and now I will do it for SW. If you want to refute any of the above that I have stated, go ahead."
Bye Bye--General Lee
I have been with SWA for over a year and a half and have never even flown into LBB AMA or MAF. General doesn't know what the f... he's talkin' about.
I got food poisioning in ATL more often than any other city in the world.
So, who are flying the 15 daily flights into each city? Somebody is, and they are hating it. I do know what I am talking about. Refute that. Who are flying the 40 or 45 flights a day into all 3 of those cities? I'm waiting.......your regional affiliate? Would you like me to list each flight from each city for you?

I would imagine the vast majority of new hires at DAL will be on the MD or the 73
- How much international do those guys ever do?
- When will a new hire ever see those CAPT pay rates?
) If I were looking at an airline to try to interview at, I would look at bases, pay, types of aircraft so I don't get bored, and options of different types of flying (so again, I don't get bored).
Bye Bye--General Lee
I'll fly those trips every day for what SWA pays (not to mention the enjoyment of working for a great company that values employees). When I want to go intl with my wife, I'll just use my 16-17 days off a month and all that coin I'm making to buy a ticket on my airline of choice.
Great advice. Don't bother dealing with balance sheets, debt, financial health or management. Did you live through the same post 9-11 airline world that I did?
Yeah, yeah, I know, you don't care where you fly, blah blah blah... You would care if you were at Delta--there is great variety and you might actually smile as you approach the gate when you see your destination. As far as your pay, it is great, thanks to our old pay rate. Without it, you would have not even come close, and that really is a fact. We will try to climb back up there too, and we hope you keep the rates that we helped you establish. Don't forget that.
