he pulled the same on me, but i knew it was coming. This is what he had in store.... Told me what flaps and prop to do, i said no 35/max, he said "no" so i said " your aircraft" 300 feet from touchdown, i raised the gear and said PDTXXX on the go.. HE filled his pants, yes we had to meet with the chief on that one, but we flew again a couple weeks later, and I said "i will land how i want or you will fly all legs" he undestood... end of story...

they call him fullstallpaul because he has crashed/rubbed many aircraft...

Raising the gear on short final without notice?...Thats a little ballsy, dont ya think?

Maybe a chat on the ground would have been a more diplomatic way to handle that one?? :)
 
Funny thing, I had a Captain preach to me on a hour leg on how using flaps 35 always will allow less stress on the airplane on landing!
Upon arrive to our destinaion he proceeded by plowing the fuk'in airplane into the ground so hard I thought the Gear was gonna come thru the Wing!

I didn't have to say anything, he saw me looking out the window biting my lip so I wouldn't start laughing!!

Story I will never forget!

On the next leg I went flaps 15, and he didn't preach about 35 again!! Classic example of Actions are Better then Words!!

I don't know why some of ya are so hard up on MB. Flew with him numerous times, and to be honest, there are much worse. If you can put up with his spur of the moment psychocitnis (sp), it's an easy 4 days. Getting up there and reading for 4 days is better than trying to have a conversation about God over the length of a trip like some people in CHO....PM.
 
Brief a visual approach with him and state 35/max. I did and he looked at me and said, "Is the runway too short for 15?"
"No, I just want to do 35/max."
"We'll just do 15/1050. It's easier for all of us."
He gets edgy if you repeatedly do this to him on a trip.

Although it's rumored he has calmed down a little now that he found himself a lady friend to relieve his built up stress.

I would pay money to ride the jumpseat on a landing with MB in the left seat and RD's leg flyin F/O... that would make my fricken day!!

Hahaha.

On another note I don't understand the complaint about the "900's fine" thing. Unless it's the last leg on your way home, it's the best way go. Quieter and more money for you.

i'm all about 900 props. i'm just sayin the way he says it and EVERY leg... i think i can figure it out! leave the cockpit door shut!!!!!

I didn't mean you specifically, but I see what your saying now. I've never flown with him, but my former crashpad roomates have told me some good stories.

jesus there is going to be nobody cool left here. their plan is working.... get a bunch of losers like the guys in my class that would "fly for free" or "take paycuts for the q400"
