If you pay attention during ground school, your instructor should be able to spill a few pointers to you that should prove very useful during your oral exam. Each APD has his own pet peeves, but the format is very typical:

1) Say "Good morning, sir"
2) Check paperwork, 8710, etc.
3) Go over limitations, memory items.
4) Go over preflight slides (Some APD would use the slide to test your system knowledge as well)
5) Go over the overhead panel (Also go over system questions as well) Most likely a question for each system on the panel.
6) Perform a simple WB, performance scenario.
7) Finish paperwork, say "Good day, sir"...

I say that's how it goes, 99.99% of the time. Unless you have a envelope of crisp Jackson ready, then it'll take about 2 minutes.

from the memory items, they will also branch into some systems knowledge. You'll be surprised at how quickly it passes. Most of them are not there to screw you; they might toy with you, but go in there with a positive attitude and you will be fine.

And whatever you do, don't drink the coffee at FS. It's nasty.
