My bad 9:30. At market opening. Well then.

I agree - probably an aircraft order (787s with a significant volume discount). Delta is doing a lot better now that the bankruptcy process/restructuring is finished - why screw that up with a merger? Check out the AWA/USAirways merger integration attempt and you'll see that it doesn't always go smoothly...

Are they going back into bankruptcy already?

Wow. That's gotta be a record.

Maybe it has to do with that pax killed on the bus they chartered when one of their planes diverted last week? Was that a rumor or fact?

I would guess that it would be the announcement of a new President. Maybe an aircraft order, but I would think that the new guy or gal would get to do that.

Leo is coming out of retirement. Film at 11.

Also, all legs under 5 hours will now be operated by code share partners.

Minimum layover time is to be increased to 48 hours, unless in Botswana or Somalia, then it's 96 hours.

AMA, LBB and MAF are being removed from the alternates bricks and erased from the FMS data bases to ensure no Delta AC will ever land there, even in an emergency.

General Lee is to be named Director of Sub Saharan African Market Development.

Look for new service to Ethiopia and Chad

Maybe they're going to announce that any passenger stranded on an aircraft without airconditioning for more than four hours at their miserable JFK operation is going to get 50 "delta dollars" towards their next flight.

That sounds more like reality in the airline biz.

I don't think it would be any thing significant, unless its a new CEO. Until a new CEO is named, there won't be any big announcements.

They're gonna buy Alaska's MD 80s.

PHXFLYR

Nah, they wouldn't want to pollute their "pure bred" fleet of MD-88's. (Which are superior to all other MD-80 variants... ;) ) TC

Banning all camcorders on all JFK flights.
