the computers (gate agents) in white plains are used by all the different airlines in westchester. they're shared p.c's.. and they are not the green screen crap ones eithers. they are newer ones, my guess is yes they are cass good to go

Unless you're jumping directly to your destination, plan at least a 3 hour connection at your first station after HPN.

why is that? I jumped from HPN to ATL and couldnt get on DAL or AT, (direct flights), so I went to USAir, connected in DCA with a 35 minute turn. And yes, that was changing airplanes, and gates.

That's because you're special. HPN sucks in every way for us mere mortals.

I hate that place!!!!

Security requires you to get standby paperwork from the ticket counter before you can pass through security.

The TSA security manager made me throw out all my gells/liquids because he never heard of my airline, even though I was in full uniform.

Then the nazi gate agents couldn't find me in there computer and almost wouldn't let me on the F'n airplane. Thank god for the Air Wiskey captain that went above and beyond to get me on his plane. Those guys are great!!

FYI- I never have a problem jumpseating out of anywhere else.

Good Luck!!

Hey, they still have the $4 lunch special for airport employees. Had it the other day before my airline home... That day, it was $4 for fried chicken, fries, and a drink! Heck of a deal... (and you wonder how I get my girlish figure)

Again, I'm talking about mere mortals. We all know that Frac pilots like you and bailout are unique and gifted individuals who are not affected by the trivail day to day problems that we, the unwashed masses a.k.a. airline pilots, must deal with. You guys are special.

Girlish figure? I never really thought pear shaped was particularly girlish, but I guess you might have a point.

I tried to jumpseat on Eagle out of HPN-ORD maybe a year ago now. The worst and most painful experience from the gate agents working the AE flights. They told me that I was not allowed to jumpseat for free on an AE flight and that only AA/AE pilots were allowed, and that I needed to get permission from our dispatch to do so. they had no idea what CASS was either. Both times the CAs were extremely helpful and made sure i got on.

not sure if its still that way, or it was only the agents working the AE flights that had no idea what they were doing. Hopefully things are fixed now. Good luck.

The whole airport from security to the gate agents is just not jumpseater friendly.
