I guess, but how often are you getting dead headed around now a days? do you really deserve it? I earned that name when I had more hours of deadhead than flight back in feb last year.

Rofl. I guess you can keep it then- even though you betrayed your title.

You get called Mr President even after your term ends. Just becuase I'm not being triple deadheaded up and down the east coast doesn't mean I'm not still Mr. Uspie.

We are short so bad and I get mother********************ing RESERVE this bid?!?!?!? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call JB and see if you can get TDY in SYR. I believe now we will have 1 more line than FO. That's a lot of extra flying with no rsv. 24 hr per diem for TD could be an incentive if you aren't tied down at home.

whats the latest and greatest at piedmont? is staffing starting to rebound from the last few months, or are they getting worse? one would think with the reduction of lines the short staffing problem would slightly dissapear. is that the case? my $.02 is why would anyone in their right mind buy new airplanes( or used) for an airline that can't even staff the ones they have now! usmainline will shift the turboprop flying to colgen considering colgen now will be flying q4--'s and they will know whats the deal with dash's now. plus they fly them cheaper than pdt will. dont get me wrong i dont agree with the bottom line type bidding procedure, but its the way it is.

Magic 8-ball says all signs point to worse! Just found about six more impending escapes (from both seats) today.

Just some quick stats:

The pilot that was #450 (last pilot on the list) last month is #432 on today's list. He moved up 18 positions in 1 month.

There are 10 pilots on the list that were hired in April and yet there are 8 fewer pilots on the seniority list as of today.

Not only PDT (Short Staffed), PSA is running short staffed also! Had a gate agent today say that they have taken Mesa's spot with all the cx'ed flights.

US Airways really needs to wake up and either shut these two airlines down, or pump some money in there and make them work! This is sad! I have never seen it this bad in CLT with all the cx'ed flights!

No triple junior man.. wtf!! I called and they had everything covered on Sunday!!!! What is this world coming to!?! Just wait til we lose 4 more fos (i heard maybe 6)up here after this month....

Please god, take Deuschey McPanicky from SBY. I'm sick and tired of hearing about him flipping on a missed in actual, and his antics in his first CQ.

What a freaking tool. He will make a first rate FMS clicker.

Maybe 6 From SYR? I know of 1 who left already, 1 more done Friday, and a third to leave for chq soon. Who else is possibly departing?

Rumor has it we are parking 2 planes at PSA in July due to "short staffing".

Hi!

I have been wondering about this the last 6 months.

Many pilots are saying the hiring crunch doesn't affect the majors.

BUT, what happens when the number of CX feed flights go up and up? At some point, they majors will be losing enough passengers at their hubs that were supposed to fly on the majors' aircraft, that the bottom line will be negatively affected.

Our hiring guy said one thing the regionals can do is partner up with their major to get their guys a major seniority number-it wouldn't cost anything.

Other than that, I think the majors will have to pay the regionals more, or pay some/all of an ab-initio program for their regional partners.

What do ya'll think?

I can tell you guys about 3 FO's in CHO having an interview, so do 3 CA in LGA, 2 CA in ROA, 3 FO in MDT. That is the schedule for next week alone.
Where is my raft?

PSA plans to grow as Q400s take over Express routes. Especially if PDT gets a bunch of Q400s then PSA's CRJs could be flown optimally for their design. Straight from the horses mouth.

Does the horse have a name? (Serious question.)

USAirways is using ERJs for MAINLINE I think.

They're using the EMB-190 series, which is slightly larger than the traditional "ERJ." ;)
