Anyone smart enough to find out the statistics for the last 7 years of pilot ratings issued. CFI's, commercial, private, ATP issued etc...?

I don't have 'em handy but AOPA has repeatedly pointed out a drsatic decline over the lasy 15 years. Check their website.

FAA has a list of that stuff.

A quick look at there numbers dosen't really show a decline in certificates though.

1990 = 88, 586 Student Pilot Certs Issued
1999 = 58,278
2006 = 61,448
