DAL Intl. Jumpseat Question?

How does one go about complying with Delta's 75 minute check-in for jumpseat requirement for USA-Intl. destinations when connecting through JFK or ATL from a west coast city that leaves less than the 75 minutes to connect? Unless you fly out the day prior and spend the night, it seems impossible to jumpseat internationally when having to fly connecting flights.

Just call the regular Delta reservations number and have them list you. The only reason they need the 75 minutes thing is for the TSA who wants a list of the passengers flying (why I don't know). If you're listed I'm pretty sure they'll let you go with a short connection. If you have an issue have the gate agent for the connecting flight try to check you in. I can't say if it will work, but it's worth a shot. Good luck

That doesnt seem to work. The gate agent can only list a jumpseater in the originating city, and a meal listing does not get around the 75 minute check in requirement. Bottom line is that most gate agents have no clue about this requirement nor have any solutions! But then again, we should be used to be treated like dirt by most gate agents, for whatever reason!

I've been in your shoes before, it blows. Seriously, if you really want to make the flight, just suck it up, come in early, and get the hotel room.
