737 FO reserve time in EWR vs. IAH???

Avg hours if someone tries to fly a bunch???

Avg. crashpad cost in EWR vs IAH???

Projected captain upgrade time in EWR on 737???

Thanks in advance for the input.

EWR is the junior base, and very short on fo's. I'm on reserve this month and next month, should hold a line in June. Been maxed out on flight time every week I've been on reserve. 32 hours last week, 28+ this week. Haven't added everything up, but I am over 90 hours for the month. The only days I haven't worked on reserve are days where I had no legal time left. Don't know how things are in IAH.

wow.....

And pilots wanna kill themselves like this for what reason exactly? Can't believe what this profession has turned into.

Where do I sign up for torture like this? I'll get my resume ready .

That is why we need a real contract at CAL. A real contract includes duty rigs, staffing formulas and massive upgrades for QOL both at home and while at work. It's going to be a blood bath to get a real contract 08.

Sign up for P2P training and become part of the solution!

Amen Brother!

first year only, just need to feed my family guys, it is a rough adjustment. I do understand your thoughts, but it is not for the hours, have a new baby girl at home and a stay at home mom. Absolutely any other circumstance I'm with ya brothers... Will have to drive part time for the PARKING SPOT as it is....

Wow, nice.

Yeah, Jonny, things are movin' pretty quick. I was only a couple numbers away from a line in may. I am wondering if I'll get called less once I get the hundred hours in, should happen on my next trip.

I concur with the quick movement and utilization. I was on RSV for my first month in Apr with most weekends off (A-RSV....long call). My Month-to-date block is 92hrs.

What's funny is that while in training, you're told, "You'll never go over guarantee". Right.......I'm not complaining though, because I'm holding a line next month with 14 days off and every trip is commutable at least on one end.

It really is a great place to be (still can't believe I'm here), but I do sympathize with the guys/gals who suffered in 02' and prior to fund our current growth and good times. This is my home for life (barring any furlough) so I'm looking at the long term with rank and file.

does cle only have the 737 based there? and how senior is that?

CLE is only 737 and is a pretty small base; there are currently about 130 F/Os there compared with 1000+ each in EWR and IAH (on all aircraft combined).

Given that it's so small, it runs pretty senior, but I'm pretty sure you could get there within six months or so.
